Lim Family Library

A new sign for the library

Each spring, second graders come to the library during their free choice time to create a new beautiful sign for the library. This year's sign has a base layer of torn pages from worn-out books the library has discarded, covered with a colorful layer of designs made from wikki stix.

Author visit October 1st!

We look forward to hosting Andrea Beaty (author of Ada Twist, Scientist, Iggy Peck, Architect, and Rosie Revere, Engineer) on October 1st. All first and second graders will hear a presentation by Ms. Beaty and have the opportunity to purchase signed copies of her books. Check out her website here.

Art in the library!

We feel fortunate that Lim Library has been chosen as a place to display some wonderful art this spring. In addition to the beautiful new sign that this year's second graders made for our picture book section (joining signs made by previous second grade classes for the fiction and nonfiction sections), we've had pinch pots made by first graders, a menagerie of imaginative creatures made by first and second graders, and a magnificent tree made by Ms. Hayward's kindergarten class. We can't wait to see what we'll get next year!
