Open to rising ninth and tenth graders

This class is designed for students who have already completed a year of algebra in eighth grade or high school and wish to advance in mathematics. This is a full course in high school geometry and is not an enrichment course, nor is it designed as a preparatory course for high school geometry. This course includes congruence and similarity, properties of polygons, circles, and solids, and proof. Both synthetic and coordinate geometric approaches are explored. Resources used in the course include a textbook and Geometer’s Sketchpad—a computer software package.
