Improv / Art

For children entering grades 1–2

Improv
The Revival, Hyde Park’s improv comedy theater, is thrilled to bring improv to Summer Lab! Expect a warm, joyful, and supportive environment that celebrates each day with a variety of fun, “on-your-feet” games and exercises. Improv offers a wonderful opportunity for your learner to jumpstart creativity, develop new skills, and have fun.

Hearts and Crafts!
In this class, we will use art as a tool to express our emotions and find our inner joy! We will use influences from famous artists, nature, personal photos, music, and cinema. Students will practice with different mediums such as paint, markers, clay, collage, and sculpture. Our goal is to see art as a pure form of personal expression and grow our creative abilities throughout the summer!

These classes also have a weekly rotation of sports, music, library, art, and outdoor water play to round out their day.
