For children entering grades 3–5
Can your LEGO® robot fly by using solar energy? Our indoor skydiving LEGO robot camp introduces students to aerospace science, technology, art, engineering, and coding. Participants will learn how to build a LEGO space capsule robot powered by solar energy and code it to fly in a friendly team competition. Students are introduced to laser cutting and 3D printing to help build their customized LEGO space capsules. They will work in teams using the SPIKE LEGO set and solve fun aerospace challenges at iFLY. Students will participate in a field trip to IFLY (Indoor Skydiving Facility) to test their LEGO robot space capsule using solar power. The class will cover the same content each session and we recommend only registering for this course one time.
