Minecraft Coding
In this class, students will learn to code while exploring an interactive Harry Potter world in Minecraft! Every class is a new adventure and opportunity to put coding fundamentals into action. Kids will take on quests, fight off some monsters, and cast some magic spells! Projects include: brewing potions, enchanting items with special abilities, and learning Redstone basics. Prior coding or Minecraft experience is not required.
Robot Explorers
The robot revolution has arrived from the future, and generations of robotists, artists, and engineers must be prepared… FOR FUN! In this program, students will be working with some of the newest programmable STEM robots that will allow kids to learn through guided play in an exploratory and encouraging workshop environment. We emphasize pressure-free creativity, with a focus on discovery and fun. Students will learn how to code, design, program, problem solve, create, and have fun using the Code and Go Mice, MBots, and Edison Robot which is LEGO®-compatible. They will learn the basics of robotics, electrical and mechanical engineering, and will discover the joy of making multiple D.I.Y robots they get to take home!
These classes also have a weekly rotation of sports, music, library, art, and outdoor water play to round out their day.
Session I: June 20–June 30
Coding
Welcome to the magical world of Encanto! In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of coding while creating animations and projects with their favorite characters from Encanto. Every class is a new adventure and opportunity to put coding fundamentals into action! From finding Bruno to helping Mirabel find her door, kids will have a blast learning about loops, variables, and more while creating their own magical journey! Prior coding experience is not required.

Session II: July 5–July 14
Coding
Grab your passports, we are off to explore new worlds within the Minecraft realm! Students will learn to move, explore, build, and code within Minecraft while visiting exciting places including ancient Egypt, Tokyo Disneyland, Chicago, the wizarding world of Hogwarts, and more! Students will use their knowledge and creativity to design projects on their own. Students do not need prior experience with Minecraft.
