For children entering grades 6–8

Learn the magic of handcrafting your own accessories and garments by knitting! In the first week, your child will learn the basics of knitting and fabric construction. Then they will learn the knit stitch and purl stitch, along with information about the different types of yarn that is created and used by crafters. During the second week, your knitter will learn how to plan and execute a personal project that plays with color, texture, and shapes for their customized creation. For the last week, we will work together to design and create a public works project that will be displayed for the community! This class is open to students who already know how to knit and to students who want to learn!
