For children entering grades 6–8

Your learner will become familiar with a variety of animation episodes spanning the last one hundred years of animation while learning to talk and write about them through a different lens of the Humanities. This course will focus on helping your child communicate and express themself in writing. We will practice making and solidifying “arguments” related to subjects which include comparing and contrasting, character development, and plot analysis. Your learner will improve their writing with frequent exercises which will both practice and strengthen their written voice. Ultimately, this session will support your learner by helping them develop more confidence and familiarity with the writing process, through an age-appropriate medium that many middle school students enjoy.
