The Computer Science Summer Link program is redefining what it means to have a summer job for U-High students. Whether computing alongside undergraduate and Masters students at the Data Science Institute or interning at a trading firm, these students are exploring their passions and bringing their curiosity and skills to real-world work experiences. Led by Jeremy Schwartz, this burgeoning program has a lot to offer and room to grow.

"The Computer Science Summer Link program offers students an opportunity to engage in more advanced and practical applications of the fundamental concepts and skills learned in the classroom at Lab. Additionally, the internships provide a valuable opportunity to experience a wider range and richer investigation of current trends in the field," shared Schwartz. The program includes a mentoring component that provides further opportunities for real world experiences.

From biomedical research to climate and energy policy, these young data scientists are delving deep into the issues of today and the solutions for tomorrow. "The program ignites students' passion to learn more deeply and promotes a sense of inclusion, ability, and confidence in the computer science field," said Schwartz. The Computer Science Summer Link program is unique to Lab and makes for an unforgettable summer.
