Why is my gift to the Parents Fund important? What’s the goal?
The goal of the Parents Fund is to have nearly all Lab families participate, at a level that is meaningful and comfortable for each family. Any gift counts towards this participation percentage and supports the core aspects of a Lab education.
Where does my gift go?
Within the Parents Fund there are four areas to which you may designate your gift. You may choose for your gift to support one of the following:
Possibilities, where Lab needs it most
Tuition Assistance, becoming a Labbie
Academic Programs & Faculty Support, sustaining & enriching leading edge programs
Co-curriculars, education beyond the classroom
How can I help?
You can help set an example by making your gift early. We welcome your involvement in helping to spread the word to your fellow parents about the importance of supporting the Parents Fund. If you are interested in sharing your time to volunteer for the Parents Fund, please reach out:

I have given to the Annual Fund for years, is the Parents Fund something different?
The Parents Fund is an evolution of the Annual Fund. Parents have voiced a desire to support things that their children are interested in. The Parents Fund allows families to designate their gifts to an area that is particularly meaningful to them. Possibilities is the unrestricted option which provides support where it’s needed most.
Can University faculty and staff make gifts through payroll deduction?
Yes. Contact your Lab's Office of Alumni Relations and Development to complete a form to set up payroll deductions.
Can my company match my gift?
It is possible that your company offers a matching gift program. Talk with your HR representative about your company’s matching gift process. You may also check this database for companies with matching gift opportunities here.
How is the Parents Fund different from Senior Class Scholarship?
Senior Class Scholarship raises money for a scholarship fund, named in honor of the graduating class. The Class of 2018 Scholarship will be endowed after raising at least $100,000 and will provide a partial scholarship for a deserving U-High student. All senior parents will be invited to contribute to this cause, which their seniors will support and steward for years to come. While parents of seniors are welcome to make a donation to the Parents Fund, this is an important year for senior families, and we hope they will be inspired to honor their graduate with a generous contribution to the class scholarship.
Does a gift to the Parents Fund count towards Lab’s recognition societies?
Yes. Any gift to Lab helps to build your qualification towards a recognition society and its benefits.
How does the raffle work?
Any gift or pledge enters the donor into all of the raffle drawings. (Best to make your pledge early.) A raffle takes place each Friday morning.
