The bedrock of Lab’s philanthropy efforts, the Parents Fund provides the Schools with funds that allow Lab to continue to invest in the people and programs that are the essence of the Lab educational experience. Every gift, no matter the size, makes an impact. Parents may choose to direct their gift to a broad priority that reflects where and how they hope to enhance the individual experience of our children. More about the Parents Fund here.
The Alumni Fund helps every student every day. Gifts to this Fund have an immediate and lasting impact—supporting every core component of the Lab experience. Each year, gifts from Lab alumni remain at the heart of our efforts to sustain our great school and ensure that Lab continues to invest in its extraordinary students and faculty. More about the Alumni Fund here.
Connections, Lab’s gala fundraiser, and the Dewey Dance, a casual, fun party, alternate each year. These events bring hundreds of parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends together for an evening of socializing, dancing, and dining all in support of student financial aid and other specific initiatives. With your support, these parent-chaired events will continue to generate significant dollars, all while building our community spirit at celebratory all-school events.
Parents of seniors make a special contribution in honor of their child’s graduation. These gifts form the foundation of a Class Scholarship Fund that the graduates will then steward, and continue to build, as they develop their own philanthropic spirit and give back to Lab in the years to come. More Senior Class Scholarship here.
A brief drive held during April allows parents to make gifts that will go directly to the teacher of their choice. Room Parents in grades N–5 lead this fundraising effort so families can show their appreciation to teachers for a year well-taught. Teachers have the freedom to use the funds on whatever they require for the following school year—from a new set of building blocks to special classroom furnishings.
Lab has a variety of capital and special projects that require philanthropic support. In particular, the Schools plan to expand our endowment and always welcome support for financial aid. If you would like to discuss how your interests and passions can benefit our students and school, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations and Development.
