Jackman Field

Jackman Field is located on Lab’s Historic Campus between Dorchester Avenue and the Sunny and Kovler Gymnasiums.On any given school day, Jackman Field may be used by more than 1,000 unique players, students, coaches, and instructors. The field is used by all the Physical Education classes from Grades 3 through 12.Left

Upper Kovler Gym

Kovler Gymnasiums

Kovler Gymnasium is one of two the gyms that make up the athletic facilities on Lab’s Historic Campus. It supports physical education and sports programs for Lower, Middle and U-High. Equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, the gymnasium includes multiple courts for basketball, volleyball, as well as spaces for fitness training and recreational activities. Kovler Gym not only enhances the physical well-being of students but also provides a venue for community gatherings, sporting events, and extracurricular activities, making it an integral part of Lab’s commitment to holistic education.

Midway Soccer Fields

Lab’s Midway Soccer Field is a top-tier outdoor facility dedicated to the development and enjoyment of soccer for students of all ages. Located within the Chicago Park District’s historic Midway Plaisance Park, this well-maintained field provides ample space for practice, competitive matches, and physical education classes. Used for both team training and interscholastic competitions, this field fosters a sense of community and school spirit, encouraging physical activity, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Sunny Pool

Sunny Gymnasium Pool

Erected in 1929, Sunny Gym is the oldest building on Lab’s campus and a cherished historic landmark. This venerable facility has served generations of students, providing a versatile space for physical education classes, athletic events, and school gatherings. Despite its age, Sunny Gym has been well-maintained and updated to meet contemporary standards while preserving its classic architectural charm.

U-High Tennis Courts

The U-High Tennis Courts are a premier facility dedicated to fostering athletic excellence and community engagement.
