Long a highlight of Connections, the fund-raiser auction comprises both a silent auction the evening of the gala and an online auction that takes place in the days leading up to the event.

Wonderful items will be available in the 2013 Connections auction—many of them unique and all of them exciting. A preview and an opportunity to bid is coming soon.

The previous year's highlights included stays at private vacation homes in Florida, Hawaii and Michigan; VIP tours of Chicago museums; six weeks at Summer Lab; wonderful adventures generously donated by many Lab teachers, and Salon Lab, a series of intimate dinner parties where nationally and internationally recognized figures from the Lab community lead guests in thought-provoking discussions of timely issues.

The auction offers two ways for you to support Lab’s fund-raising priorities. Alumni, parents, and friends may donate special items, trips, events, and other packages to be auctioned off. Creativity is encouraged. If you wish to donate an item for the silent auction at Navy Pier, a form will be available shortly, or you can call 773-302-0578.

And, of course, those attending Connections may participate in the auctions as bidders, and potentially as winners of an experience you’ll never forget. We look forward to seeing you at Connections 2013 on March 9.
