Summer Lab on Stage

We are thrilled to be back in action for yet another fun installment of Summer Lab on Stage. Our program, open to children entering grades 5 – 8, is designed as a musical theatre training company. This year will feature classes in dance, acting and improv taught by Marc Piane and Katy Sinclair, as well as professionals from Chicago’s world-class theatre scene.

We are also proud to announce the return of our Art Director, Illia Mazurek. We will explore the action behind the scenes, as we produce a theatre production from the ground up.

The goal of the program is first and foremost to have fun, but also to teach acting, singing, and dancing skills as well as improve personal confidence, coordination, and presence.

So please join us in this our sixth annual Summer Lab On Stage! Get ready for the driving pace of this energetic camp as you’ll be singing, dancing, and acting on the first day. During the camp we will be preparing a final show that will be performed on the evening of July 31, 2008. at the University of Chicago’s Court Theatre!

Come one, come all! And remember ...“There’s No Business Like Show Business!”

Summer Lab on Stage is a 6-week, Morning (8:30 am - 12:30 pm) program. Most students will select an Afternoon Summer School class to fill out their schedule, and many will also select Summer Lab Sports Camps for the 3:00 - 5:30 pm time period.
