Book Club
Open to students entering grades 3 - 4
Do you enjoy reading and really getting into a book? Will you be a third or fourth grader in the fall? Then this is the class for you. We’ll read a different chapter book for each three-week session. We’ll discuss each book as we read it and we’ll choose from a variety of activities such as acting out scenes from the book; designing book jackets; making posters for the book; tracking character development; and connecting books to personal experiences. We’ll conclude each book with a trivia quiz just for the fun of it. Join us for a summer of reading, fun, and discovery!
Note: Students may attend both sessions as course material varies.
Session I: June 23 - July 11
Session II: July 14 - August 1
