Nature Explorers

Open to students entering grades 2 - 4

Grab a magnifying glass and your explorer's notebook and get ready to discover! In this science class, we'll explore the wonders of the natural world around us. Can you make a plant grow upside down? What is a leaf litter critter? Answer these questions and many others as we investigate nature in all its variety, from the tiniest pond creature to the tallest tree. This class will also use reading, writing, math and art to delve into scientific questions. The parks, nature preserves, and museums of Chicago will be our classroom as we observe, question, and learn about nature and natural systems. So, if you want to find out about animals and seeds, bugs and weeds or anything else in nature, come join us in our explorations!
