This exhibition, Mirrors and Windows, was produced as the final class project for a fourteen-week arts class called PhotoTechnology. The course is designed to introduce eighth grade students to photography and computer imaging as tools for creative self-expression. Students, in two groups of 19, rotated between the computer and photography classrooms. Use of digital cameras and scanners, Adobe Photoshop software, the HTML programming language, and Dreamweaver software were skill components of this course. There was a writing assignment as well. Both teachers felt a common theme would unify the work and add a personal dimension to the web page. Marty Billingsley, Computer Science Teacher |
