A Different World In Which I See
by Allison Geary
When I look through my fish tank, I see a totally different world. I see plants and fish. I see the rotation of life. My tank started off with two fish, named “pop” and “corn.” They were really healthy and we got more. Now the total number of fishes was four. Then one day I saw a snail, then two. At the time I thought nothing of it. As time went along, the number of snails grew larger. After about mid-summer, I left home for Space Camp, and when I came back my fish were gone! I pondered, thinking, “Where did they go?” I soon found out that the mutant snail population had eaten them and I was very sad and depressed. I stood back from the tank a few feet and just stared. Shortly afterwards my dad and I cleared out all the remains of the fish and cleaned the tank. Soon after I bought new fish and made a world that I could look through a piece of glass to see.
