It was a dark and gloomy morning and jake was taking his normal path to work. On the way he saw a strange sight.

A large man was beating a women for her money. He wished he could do something, but he was a small, cowardly man. He would surely not be able to do anything.

If you looked into his eyes you could sense his emotions, it was like they were a window to his mind. He was shaking, his emotions going crazy. He kept repeating to himself, "No! Don't try to help. You're too young to die." He walked away sadly, not trying to save the woman.

About a year later, still not over what had happened, he walked to work, taking his normal path. Again it was a dark and gloomy day.

He looked down an alley, like before a man was beating up a woman.

Again he sarted feeling like he should get away. Suddenly the sun peeked through the clouds and shined on him. This brightness was the window to his heart; it seemed to give him power, strength and bravery.

With this newfound courage he walked over and told the man that if he wouldn't give the woman her money and go away, he would call the police. Not wanting to get in trouble the man ran away. As he helped the woman up she thanked him gratefully. Jake walked away much stronger that before, he knew he did the right thing this time.
