The Talk

One day, the two commanders of the military of two planets were checking the battlegrounds for the next battle. They expected this battle to determine the outcome of the war so they both planned heavily on the battle. They decided that they would meet before the battle to discuss peace once more before they both attacked. They met in the middle of the battlefield, each with many snipers pointed at their heads to make sure that they don’t try anything funny. They had tried to discuss peace many time before, but to no avail. When they were finally with radio distance of one another they began the final talk.
“Hello Cid, it’s about time you showed up, I’ve been waiting for over 15 minutes.” said one.
“Well Sephiroth, you’re a little jumpy today.” remarked Cid.
“Well it is the final battle is it not?”
“Yes, well I suppose you’re right, everyone is dreading the suspense.”
“Shall we get down to business?” asked Sephiroth.
“Why not? No reason to keep everyone waiting.”
“Because this is our final peace talk I shall wish you good luck beforehand.”
“I think peace is still negotiable, so don’t get all ready for the battle.”
“I’m always prepared for surprises.” Replied Sephiroth.
“If our planet give you 1k of magitronic liquid do you think we could arrange a formal meeting with ambassadors instead of leaders of the military?”
“That doesn’t sound very fair considering our planet has an abundant amount of that recource does it?”
“Ok then, how about 50ks of Multisync metal? Would that be enough?”
“For some reason I get the feeling that you are desperate to make peace to avoid anymore bloodshed.”
“That’s the general idea of peace talks. Isn’t it?”
“C’mon Cid you and I both know that if we have already lost much of our force that we should finish the job instead of just leaving it undone.”
“I agree in that sense but just because ambassadors meeting doesn’t mean that everything will be resolved.”
“Then why are you even suggesting it?”
“Because that’s the whole point of these peace talks!”
“In that case, I won’t agree to any talks with ambassadors for a pointless cause.” Sephiroth said with a harsh tone
“I will suggest another way of hopefully bringing this war to an end without slaughtering a million more lives.” Said Cid
“If you can come up with a better plan than the one I’ve got the go ahead.”
“I say we come to our senses about this stuff and at least call a truce for a couple of weeks.” Cid said with a hopeful tone.
“If you’re done I’ll share my plan with you.”
“Go ahead.”
“I think that you should surrender you entire civilization to avoid any bloodshed. The only ones killed will be the ones directly responsible for the many deaths that have occurred, and all of you will be put into lives not as luxurious as you are living now, but you can always work your way up again.” Sepiroth replied coldly.
“I don’t see how this is better than my idea.”
“No blood, no wasting time discussing, just immediate action.”
“I don’t think so.”
“Ok, your decision, not mine.”
“See you on the field.”
“You too.”
At that moment, they both left.
