When I think of windows I don’t think to myself that they are strictly the kind of windows that you see everyday of your life and that are on buildings. Windows can be much much more than that. Windows can be symbolical as well as physical. People say that the window to your soul is through your eyes, but a person’s eyes are obviously not transparent. A window can be just a hole that you look through to see a gorgeous garden or a beautiful landscape. A widow is almost always something that you look through to see something else, whether that window is something that you can touch or not. I like to think of a window as something that, in a sense, shows you something more beautiful than what is around you, and even “real” windows can do that too.
On the other hand a mirror can be a lot of things and, just like a window; a mirror doesn’t always have to be something that is physical. In a way a person can be a symbolic mirror, not artistically though. I am a mirror in the sense that my personality reflects off of me onto other people that I know, probably my little sister or little cousin the most though. He is almost exactly like me except that he is about half of my size. A physical mirror is of course something that reflects an image though. Kind of like a window, a mirror, no matter what, stays the same and is always the same object and keeps the same characteristics, but what you see in it and through it is always changing.
