About this Exhibition


This exhibition was produced as the final class project for a two-quarter eighth-grade arts sequence called PhotoTechnology. The course was designed to introduce eighth grade students to photography and computer imaging as tools for creative self-expression.

The first quarter of the PhotoTechnology course focused on photography. In the second quarter, students took their photographs to the computer lab where they scanned them in and manipulated them digitally. The use of scanners, Adobe Photoshop software, and the HTML programming language were skill components of this course.
