About this Exhibition


This exhibition, Dreams, was produced as the final class project for a fourteen-week eighth-grade arts class called PhotoTechnology. The course was designed to introduce eighth grade students to photography and computer imaging as tools for creative self-expression.

Students, in two groups of 20, rotated between the computer and photography classrooms on a weekly basis. Polariod manipulations and use of scanners, Adobe Photoshop software, and the HTML programming language were skill components of this course. There was a writing assignment as well. Both teachers felt a common theme would unify the work and add a personal dimension to the web page.
