The Mystery of the Stolen Gold
by Billy and Sarah
There was a treasure chest in the ocean. Two burglars were scuba diving
and they got the treasure. There were two kids named Billy and Sarah who
were detectives. They wanted to solve the mystery of the stolen gold but
they could not because the burglars were their Dads!
So the detectives tried to get the gold out of the basement but there was
a beehive. They did not want to get stung so they had to be very quiet
and still. It did not work so they asked their Dads a question.
"What did you get from the ocean.?" The Dads brought a treasure chest.
Bill and Sarah knew that there was gold in the treasure chest. They said
to their dads, "both of you throw it back in the ocean. It is just a piece
of junk."
After they threw it back into the ocean, we asked our dads if we could
go but our dads said, "what for?" We said, "fun." Our dads said yes
but we could not find the treasure chest in the ocean. We came up to the
surface of the water and found an island. We had our scuba diving
tanks. Instead we swam on top and relaxed a little bit. Then we found
a note and it said, "go to the Atlantic Ocean." First we took our tanks
off to get air in them. We put on the tanks after we got more air in
them. We scuba dived all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.
We could not find the treasure or the key but we found another island.
This time we were right next to it so we just climbed on it. We found
another note, and it said, "go to Texas and you might find the treasure
key."
Then these guys came in disguise of our dads. We said, "can we borrow
the rowboat" but the guys said no. We saw the floats so we used the
floats. We did not have to share because they found their own floats. We
laid down on our floats and swam after them.
Then Billy pulled off one of the masks. It was a stranger. Then Sarah
pulled off a mask and it was another stranger. They had the treasure
chest in their boat. We snached the key. Now it is in Billy's pocket.
Sarah opened the chest. Then our dads stopped being burglars.
Everybody was happy in the end.
