The Mystery of the Stolen Rubies
by Michael and Yuwen
Once there was a great king. He had a lot of jewels. His favorites were
the rubies. But one day all the king's rubies were gone. The king told his
best guards to get Michael and Yuwen to solve the mystery.
They looked all over the town but they couldn't find the rubies. They knew
somebody stole them. They said oh no! They knew they had to solve the
mystery. Michael and Yuwen were going back to the king when they saw
somebody carrying a bag. The bag had a hole in it. Then to Michael and
Yuwen's surprise out from the bag fell a big red ruby. The robber picked
up the ruby and ran to his hideout. Michael and Yuwen followed him. But
very quietly so the rubber wouldn't hear them. Michael told Yuwen to go to
the door and see if there were any more robbers. Yuwen went to the door
and looked inside. To her surprise there were billions of rubies in the
hideout.
Yuwen told Michael to come and see. When Michael saw the rubies he got an
idea. He climbed a tree and took a rope and threw the rope around the
chimney. He landed on the top of the building, and looked inside. Yuwen
handed him a piece of glass. He cut open the window and jumped inside of
the building. But when he got inside all that was left was a note. Yuwen
came inside and unrolled the note. The note said that if you want to find
the crown and the rubies go to the Smithonian.
Michael noticed that there was another piece of paper in the corner.
Michael looked at the paper. It was a map. Michael and Yuwen followed the
map until they found the Smithonian. The robbers and the rubies were
there. Yuwen got n idea. Michael and Yuwen sneaked up on the robber and
arrested him. They solved the mystery. The king was very happy to have his
rubies back. He gave Michael and Yuwen rewards.
