    Jurassic Park
    Reviewed by Nora Becker

Three people are in a car that runs on a track. There is a women named Ellie Sattler, a man named Ian Malcolm, and another man named Alan Grant. They are all looking into the woods expectantly, but nothing happens. Malcolm starts muttering to himself and counting on his fingers. " God creates dinosaurs. God destroys dinosaurs. God creates man. Man destroys God. Man creates dinosaurs...."

He stops and Sattler continues."....Dinosaurs.. eat man, women inherits the earth."

Jurassic Park is a movie about men, women, kids--and dinosaurs.

You see, Grant (Sam Neill),a paleontologist who is grumpy and doesn't like children, and Sattler (Laura Dern), a paleobotanist who is cheerful and likes children, work together on a archeological dig. A man named John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) has convinced them to come and approve of his park-- a park where he bred real dinosaurs from DNA found in the blood of mosquitoes trapped in amber. However, there was an accident and a worker was killed so Hammond's lawyer convinced him to get an extra opinion about the parks safety. The lawyer brought in Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), a mathamatition, and Hammond brought in Grant and Sattler. During the scene I described above, they are on a tour. Also on the tour are Hammonds two grandkids, Lex (Ariana Richards) and Tim (Joseph Mazello). The thing is, all of the security systems go off because Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight) tries to smuggle out some dinosaur embryos. So the dinosaurs get out and there is a big storm and Grant, Lex and Tim get stranded in the park, and all the power is off. Then, when they try to get the power back on they do but they have to go to the other side of the park, and there are dinosaurs hunting them (they also miss a perfect opportunity to kill off all the dinosaurs because Hammond acts dumb and doesn't want to ruin his park, which is ruined anyway.

This is a movie that is meant to scare people. I don't know about the rest of you but it scared me. If you do not like suspense this is not your kind of movie. All in all, this was a good movie.
