It's Christmas Time!

When Scott Calvin walks out of his door, he finds someone on top of his snow covered roof. He yells up at the person. The person--wearing a red and white jacket, a hat with a ball of cotton at the top, and tall thick black boots--falls off the roof, landing unconscious. The person is the real Santa Clause!

The Santa Clause is about a man named Scott Calvin who knocks Santa Claus off his roof one morning. Inside Santa's suit is a card that says, "Put on my suit and become the new Santa . The reindeer will know what to do." Scott Calvin is a bit confused, but his son Charlie convinces his dad to put on the suit. They find out that Santa's reindeer are on top of the roof. The reindeer automatically know what to do--and Scott Calvin becomes Santa.

Tim Allen from television's "Home Improvement" plays Scott Calvin. Other important characters are his son Charlie (Eric Lloyd), his ex-wife Laura (Wendy Crewson), Laura's new husband Neal ( Judge Reinhold), and Bernard the head elf (David Krumholtz). The movie was directed by John Pasquin. The movie is about a father who becomes the new Santa Claus and has problems believing that he really is Santa Claus. Then he loses his visitation rights to see his son. Which problem should he take care of first?

A good part in the movie was when Scott Calvin tries to give up being Santa Claus. He shaves and his hair grows back in a matter of seconds. Also he can't lose weight. He gains forty pounds in a week and starts eating like a pig. He fattens from the mouth to his feet. He is really confused and wants to know what is happening to him. He soon finds out he is really the new Santa Claus--because of "the Santa Clause."

This movie tells a lot of things about Santa Claus. Santa gets down the chimney by a bag that floats him safely down to the fireplace. If there is no chimney, Santa will turn into a jello-like substance and go through the air vent with the magical bag and a fireplace will magically appear. After all of the toys are out of the bag, the bag refills after a matter of seconds. The largest things in the world can come out of the magical bag.

The Santa Clause is a good and funny movie. There were a lot of jokes and exciting moments. It is a kid and adult movie. A lot of people enjoy books, stories, magazines, movies and many other things that have to do with Christmas, and now they can watch The Santa Clause.
