"That's a wild boar," the sheriff of Rotting Ham says as Robin Hood puts a wild pig on Prince John's table.

"No, that's a wild pig. That's a wild bore," Robin Hood says, pointing to Prince John.

"Ha, ha. Very amusing," says Prince John laughing a fake laugh.

"King illegal forest kill and eat at is," the sheriff of Rotting Ham says, getting his words mixed up.

    "What," says everyone in unison.

"Don't you know it's illegal to kill a wild pig in the king's forest," the sheriff of Rotting Ham says, repeating himself and looking smart.

Then sitting down Robin Hood says, "Is it not also illegal to sit in the king's throne and use all of his power?"

Men in Tights is a funny version of the traditional story of Robin Hood. It was directed by Mel Brooks, Evan Chandler, and J. David Shapiro. Robin Hood (the lead character) is played by Cary Elwes, who got the part (as he says in the movie) "because he can speak with an English accent". Robin Hood is desperately in love with Maid Marian (Amy Yasbeck) and she with him. Men in Tights is a movie about love, comedy, and action.

Robin Hood and Maid Marian fall in love with each other, and they are the two main characters. In Men in Tights Prince John (brother of King Richard) takes over England when King Richard goes to fight in battle. Prince John raises the taxes so high that no one can pay them and everyone's land is taken away! Robin Hood gathers up some villagers to fight against Prince John's high taxes. The only problem is the villagers can't fight. What will Robin do?

Hummie Mann was the writer of the important music, which played a big role in the movie. Sometimes the music was very hip hop, sometimes it was romantic, and sometimes it was a mixture of both. Music is good to have in a movie like this one, to cover up the blank spots .

I strongly urge you to watch this movie, especially if you like comedies, action, or movies that make fun of past romantic Robin Hood movies. I think most children would like this movie and maybe adults, too. I think this movie looks better on a regular television screen than it does at a movie theater. This is great movie.
