One day I was hunting a gazelle, when I heard a noise. So I looked up and saw a gorilla pack running towards me at full speed. I jumped on a low branch just in time. I ran to the Baboon village to tell Baboona ( the leader) what I saw. The gorillas were already there. I heard a gorilla say, ''The poachers burned their village and they want to burn our village and the mandrills' village.''

So Baboona told me to run to the mandrills' village and tell them to come as fast as they can. When I was walking down the trail, a poacher threw a spear at me! I jumped out of the way and the spear just cut my arm. That made me so pissed I jumped in the bushes and jumped on the poacher's back and tore out his spine with a victorious howl. Then I ripped off his head and climbed up a tree and threw the head as far as I could.

Then I went to the mandrills' village and told them to come to our village. When we got to our village, Baboona told them to climb in the trees and drop spears on the poachers!

I went to the edge of the forest and listened for poachers. In about twenty minutes I heard the poachers. I howled to signal the baboons to shoot arrows at them. The arrows took the poachers by surprise. One poacher looked up and an arrow hit him between the eyes and he fell lifeless to the ground. Then I picked up my bow, notched an arrow to my bow, and shot it so hard it pierced a poachers head and hit another poacher in the eye. Then I heard Baboona scream, "Retreat."

So I went to the baboon village. Then the poachers ran in the forest and the mandrills dropped spears on the poachers heads. One poacher shot an arrow at a baboon and a mandrill dropped a spear, and it went through his head and into the ground. Then a poacher threw a spear and killed a mandrill. Then three quarters of the poachers ran off. Then I shot a poacher, and the silverback gorilla (named Zeno) ran in and slaughtered the poachers who didn't run off.

Then we ate the poachers meat and buried the mandrill that was killed. Baboona told the gorillas to build nooses with vines in the forest. When that was done we made barbed wire out of vines and thorns.

When the poachers came back, they ran into the barbed wire (we wrapped around our village). When that happened we stabbed them with spears. Then the leader of the poachers ripped through the barbed wire and threw a spear at Baboona. But it missed . Then he ran up to Baboona, and Baboona bit his arm. Then Baboona slashed him with his claws. Then the poacher leader stabbed Baboona with his second spear. That made Baboona so mad he shredded the poacher leader with his claws. Then he uppercutted the poacher and tore out the inside of his neck with a victorious howl.

The poacher leader fell dead on the ground. Some of the poachers got away but we hung the rest.
