The boys and girls did another outstanding job at our 3rd home meet of the season on March 7th, Leah Sibener won the 55 and the 200 dashes. Emily Kuo won the 400, 600 and 800 again and was on the winning 4 x 800 team that consisted of Shannon Kimball, Aoife MacMahon and Leah Sibener. Sherry Fu won the 3200 run Madeline Horn was 2nd in the 600, Shannon Kimball was 2nd in the 1600 and the team of Alex Bullock, Maria Birukova, Leah Sibener and Monique Johnson took 1st in the 4 x 400 relay. For the boys JR Mahung was 2nd in the 600 dash, Philip Verma took 2nd in the 1600 run Joe Hurst was 3rd in the 400 dash . The final indoor meet of the year is this Friday, March 14th at 6pm. Congratulations to U High for an excellent showing on Friday Feb 29th vs St Ignatius, Wheaton Academy, North Shore and Jones. There were several outstanding performances including 3 individual first by Emily Kuo. Emily won the 400, 600 and 800 runs. She also was part of the winning 4 x 800 relay of Shannon Kimball, Josey Mintel, and Sherry Fu.Sherry Fu won the 1600. Also winning individually was Madeline Horn in the 55 dash. For the boys Tom Brewer was 2nd in the 600 and Philip Verma was 2nd in the 3200 run. The 4 x 800 relay of Don Traubert, Kevin Brunke, Stephen Heinz and Max Wagner also took 2nd.All results can be seen at http://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/School.aspx?SchoolID=16244 Our next track meet will be on Friday the 7th of February at 6pm at Crown Field house. We will run against St Ignatius, Wheaton Academy, Jones CP and North Shore Country Day School and Northside College Prep. The U High Track teams did a great job on Friday night in their meet against St Ignatius, North Shore and Jones.
