Co-curricular Activities
Opportunity is the keynote of the Student Activities Program. Participation in school
government, clubs, special interest groups and service organizations is open to all students--in
fact, the very existence of such groups is dependent upon student interest and initiative.
Through opportunities for the pursuit of varied interests students are challenged to learn
how to work together. They learn to originate, plan and execute activities. Their success
is measured in terms not only of tangible results, but also of the personal growth of
participants as individuals and as contributing members of a larger society. Such activities
are a valuable adjunct to the curricular program of University High School.
