  • PA Board nominations still open for new Earl Shapiro Hall/NK-PS positions

    The Parents’ Association is still accepting Board nominations for two new openings on the Earl Shapiro Hall/NK-PS council through Monday, May 20. The Shapiro Hall job description and nomination form are on the PA’s web page.

  • All-Kindergarten Ice Cream Social, Friday, June 7, 3-5 p.m., Blaine Courtyard

    Come celebrate the end of an era! Join us in the Blaine Courtyard for an all-Kindergarten Ice Cream Social. There will be fun, games, and ice cream. We will put together items to include in a time capsule, as we are the last kindergarten class to reside at the historic Blaine campus. Siblings are welcome! We hope to see you there!     Parents of students who will enter third grade in the 2013–2014 school year are invited to attend a transition meeting to learn more about third grade. Teachers, counselors, and principals will provide information and answer questions about developmental changes, curriculum, and special activities that take place.

  • Nursery & Kindergarten parent/teacher conferences, May 3 and 10: No school

    Parent/teacher conferences for N/K children will be Friday, May 4 and Friday, May 11. Sign up for a time slot with your child’s teacher. There is no school for Nursery & Kindergarten students on those days.

    Parents of students who will enter kindergarten, first, or third grades in the 2013–2014 school year are invited to attend transition meetings to learn more about these grade levels.

    • Nursery into Kindergarten: Wednesday, May 1, 6:30 p.m.
    • Kindergarten into first grade: Wednesday, May 1, 7:30 p.m.
    • Second into third grade: Thursday, May 2, 6:30 p.m.

    Transition meeting a planned for parents if there are significant changes from grade to grade. Teachers, counselors, and principals will provide information and answer questions about developmental changes, curriculum, and special activities that take place at each of these grade levels.

    This is the second in a series of meetings for parents to discuss the upcoming transition to Earl Shapiro Hall. We will share the developing plans for drop-off and pick-up, carline procedures, and security for Earl Shapiro Hall. Childcare will be provided for the evening meeting.
