Alumna Susan Jason Fox, '64, and her husband, Larry, have established a new $400,000 Laboratory Schools scholarship endowment to honor the influence of the schools on the life of Mrs. Fox, a former public school social worker.
The Susan Lee Jason Fox Scholarship will provide full tuition for all four years to a deserving student at University High School. As the fund grows, multiple scholarships will be given from its annual income, with preference given to students interested in pursuing service professions. The first scholar will be named for the 2003-2004 academic year.
"We are deeply grateful for this commitment, which will benefit students for years to come," said Eileen Epstein, Director of External Relations. "Our graduates frequently speak of the impact that the Schools has made on their lives, and this gift is an eloquent expression of the Fox family's appreciation of the Lab Schools educational approach."
