Reading Without Walls

Cartoon girl with bushy black hair rides a large, red book that appears to be flying.Rowley Library is participating in Reading Without Walls, a program started by National Ambassador for Young People's Literature Gene Luen Yang, who also wrote the 7th grade curriculum book American Born Chinese. To participate, all you have to do is read one book from each of three categories:

  1. A book about someone who looks or lives differently from you.
  2. A nonfiction book about a topic that you don't know much about.
  3. A book in a format that you don't usually read for fun.

Readers who read from each category and turn in a reporting form at the circulation desk can write on the chalkboard graffiti wall and will receive a certificate!
