Senior GetAway 1998
Rules and Code of Behavior
TOWNHOUSE RULES:
The townhouses we occupy are private homes that we rent for the time we are in Eagle Ridge. We hope and expect that each participant will respect the property of others.
- Telephones -- Don't use them except to call between townhouses. The owner will be billed for any telephone charges incurred. All outside calls must be made from a pay phone (many are available in the lodge).
- Breakage/Usage -- Any property damage will be billed directly to the students who occupy the house that is damaged. Please do not use any of the owners' food or other products that they may have left in the house. In addition, incense and/or candle burning in the houses is prohibitted. You may use the fireplaces only with the permission of your chaperone (who may or may not decide to allow it). Please observe the instructions located at the hearth.
- No Large Gatherings -- While the chaperones in each house will determine the exact number of people they will allow into a house, the general rule is that gatherings over 15 people are probably too large for these houses. We have reserved meeting rooms in the lodge to accommodate larger groups and we will certainly remain flexible in use of those rooms.
- Parietals -- Members of the opposite sex are allowed ONLY in the common areas of each townhouse. Absolutely NOT in the bedrooms. Bedroom doors may not be locked.
- Surrounding areas -- Please remember that we are not alone. We will have many, but not all the townhouses in this section of the resort. You must be respectful of the residents and other guests at Eagle Ridge.
GENERAL RULES:
All school rules apply. The Code of Conduct, and its consequent Discipline Policy, is in full effect,
even in Eagle Ridge. Any violation of the Code will result in the violator's immediate separation
from the group and return home at his/her parents' expense, regardless of the time of day or night.
In addition, the following specific rules will apply:
- Curfew -- Gatherings and evening activities must be over by 12:30am, so that everyone will be in his/her own townhouse by 1:00am.
- Attendance at activities -- Students must be present at all scheduled activities and all meals, unless they have a prior excuse from a chaperone.
- Strolling -- Students may not leave the immediate area around the townhouses and lodge without the consent and/or presence of a chaperone. At least one chaperone must accompany students going on night hikes, etc.
