"Surrender
         is not an option!"

                                 --- Olivia Nguyen

On Saturday, Jan. 24, the freshman class went to Paint Pursuit Games, an hour south of Chicago, to slaughter each other repeatedly on the battlefield. Although snow lay thickly on the ground and the temperature was nearly freezing, everyone had a great time. We played capture the flag in the woods and in a group of ramshackle huts.

Best moments of the game:

"Hitting Greg in the face and seeing his face mask totally covered with paint and seeing him aimlessly wandering around because he couldn't see..." --- Matt Block

"Four guys were running after me and I ran half a mile jumping over logs to get away." --- Becca Murray

"Matt and Peter yelled "Surrender!" at me, but I shot them both." --- Nick Hill

"I was in a corner of the huts and two people were trying to pin me down from a barricade. I popped up out of the window and shot one, then went back down, then popped up again and shot the other one." --- Martin McCullugh

"Greg and I went razing- going after people and picking them off one by one." --- Peter Kracke

"Ambushing a house with two people inside. I got 'em." --- Anonymous

"Four people pounding me with fire as I was pinned down in a hut - paint was flying down in a rain over me, but I didn't get hit." --- John Kim (chaperone)

"In one game I surrendered in a cowardly way because 5 people were about to shoot me at close range and the paintballs kind of hurt. So the next game I charged for the flag and got it." --- Liz Henry (chaperone)

"Hey, you could put someone's eye out with that!" -------- A team at Base Camp.
