Down the Trail
By: Tazie Mufwene
At L.O.M.C (Lutheran Outdoors Ministries Center) I loved going down the trail from my cabin to the dining hall. I always called it a roller coaster because it felt like one. Pascale (my bunkmate), Christin and I absolutely positively loved it. But going up was a different story. Going up was like hiking up a mountain. When we get to the top we're huffing and puffing. But it was worth it if we didn't have an activity to get to. We could lie down in our cabin and relax or go to sleep. But if we had to go up right after eating, it was much, much, much worse. It was especially hard after the cookout, when we had the owl pellets activity right after the cookout. I got awful cramps but I just loved going down the trail.
