Camp Story

By: Scott B. Nelson

I was at the stress challenge B "The Wall" lifting my friend David up when I had a terrible urge to jump, so I did and everyone fell down and yelled at me.

----Two days before----

On the bus ride here I found a hairball and I was just about to rip it in half when it said, " Please don't rip me in half and I will grant you an infinite amount of wishes. I said "OK".

----Two days later----

After I jumped and everyone yelled at me I said to myself," I wish I were dead ... "Big mistake I died and went to heaven. Up there it was very pretty but because I still had a chance to live, I took it.

When I got back I searched everywere for that hairball but to no avail at all. So I thought of where I put it and I remembered that I had stuffed it in my Levis jeans and zipped the pocket. So I un-zipped my pocket and grabbed the hairball and shook it so hard it died an early death at 23 years.

So I had no worries, but then I realized that I wanted to have a good lunch of macaroni, and cheese pizza. But since there's no way of doing that I'll just have to go with the flow. I was bummed that I had killed my only hope of getting a good meal here, so I stayed in my bunk and thought about Stratego. Afterwards I wished that I hadn't killed Billie the dustball. Even though I enjoyed squishing him, I still felt terrible about it. I even thought about killing myself. But that was a dumb idea because everyone wants to stay alive.

So I went on the ravine hike the next day after a restless sleep. On the ravine hike I saw a little black frog, it was jumping around in the creek which is in the ravine. On the prarie hike we saw a big bear roaming around in the trees. We figured it was looking for a rabbit to eat which I was OK with, because bears need to eat. But I felt bad for the prey that it was going to catch.

After the prarie hike I went to the pond to go canoeing. It was fun until the end, which was not fun. The reason it wasn't fun was because they dragged me out twice, both times because I got soaked.
