Stress challenge courses are one of the best parts of camp. The picture you see here is the teepee walk, one of the many stress challanges you will do. When you do the teepee walk one person has to stand in the middle of the wooden triangle. The other peaple have to make the triangle walk by pulling ropes.

In this picture Mr. Scheetz's group tries to move the teepee by pulling on one side with the strings then the other while the kid in the middle swings one side forward and then the other. Going forward is harder than going backwards, but frankly it's just a hard activity!

This is Mr. Scheetz's Group doing Ethic-Reasoning, which is where you talk about what you would do if you were in a situation that is written on a card. For example, you can build your dream house, but you have to get rid of one item, which one: Solar Heating, Indoor Pool, and Whirlpool? You choose one and explain why.

This is Mr. Scheetz's group on the first day doing stress challenge A. Stress challenge A is when you learn how to work together in a large group. They are trying to get the tire over the pole. The people on the bottom are trying to push the people on top of the tire up so that they can lift the tire that they're holding over the to of the pole. After they get it over they'll try to get it back on.

In this picture our ( Mr. Sheetz's) group is doing stress challenge A, when we have to get a tire over the pole. We struggled on the first time but as you can see we were getting it. We really learned a lot about teamwork. The first time we were so bad. But then Mr. Sheetz brought us together and told us to discuss it and then try it. That was a great idea because one of the people in our group said that we could take the other tire and get two people on the tire and lift them up. And it actually worked. That I think was really really fun!!!!!!!!!

We are doing a stress challenge. We had to get a tire over an about 9 foot pole. We lifted people up on a second tire while they held the first tire. Then they would throw the tire over.

This was one of my favorite things I did at camp. The point of this activity was to get the tire up and over the pole. The pole was about 20 feet high. They lifted us up on another tire that was below the tire I was pushing over the pole. The stress challenge was very wet because it rained the night before.

Mr.Sheetz's group is lifting the tire off the pole. What you had to do was lift a tire off a 20 foot pole. First we tried to get the tire off the pole by having two people weave their fingers together and then we would have someone step into their hands and the two people with their hands woven together would lift them up. It didn't work very well. The second time we tried we put two people on the bottom tire and lifted the bottom tire up. In this picture I am yelling at my camp counselor because he is telling me to do something that if I do that I will fall off the tire. The point of what I am doing is to try to get a tire over a pole. It took a long time to figure out how to get that tire over but we still did it.

This is my group trying to walk together on two boards. It took a lot of teamwork and was hard to do!
