High school students challenge the dress code, 1969

In 1969, the dress code was changed to allow girls to wear slacks or miniskirts. The new dress code was effected by the new Student Legislative Coordinating Council. Other student government inspired changes included a Snack Bar Committee and an Advisory Board for Curriculum, which worked to incorporate African-American history into social studies courses.

Student clubs included the Socialist Discussion Group, the Model Railroad Club, the Mutants, the Table Tennis Club, the Computer Club, and the Slot Racing Club.
