Champion Football Team, 1914
High School juniors and seniors on the winning football team, 1914.
The football team became very successful after Dr. William Monilaw, friend of Alonzo Stagg,
came from Drake University in Iowa(1910) to be head of PE and coach of the teams.
In this year, the team won the City Championship and the Cook County Suburban League
Championship. In 1916. Dr. Monilaw began giving a medal to the senior
with highest athletic accomplishment, scholarship, and citizenship.
