Meet our new faculty (you’ll meet staff in the next ENews)

Please welcome these new members of the Lab faculty:
Susan Augustine, High School librarian, comes to Lab from the Art Institute of Chicago where she was head of reader services. Previously she worked in the libraries at Columbia College and at University of Illinois, in both Chicago and Urbana-Champaign. Her master’s degree in library science is from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Audre Budrys-Nakas, Middle School drama teacher, has her BS in theater/acting and her MS in education with a theater endorsement from Northwestern University. Previously Ms. Budrys-Nakas was adjunct faculty at Roosevelt University and a teacher at Piven Theater Workshop. She has worked as an actor, director, and teacher of acting and improvisation for students of all ages.
Emily Kennedy, assistant teacher in Eileen Wagner’s first grade classroom, has been a part of Lab’s After School program and a substitute teacher for several years. She has a BS in environmental geography from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and a MEd in elementary education from U of I, Chicago.
Robynn Nichols, third grade teacher, comes to Lab from Montgomery County, Maryland, where she was a second grade teacher at Takoma Park Elementary School. Her BS and MA (expected this year), are from University of Maryland. She graduated from Sidwell Friends High School and later coached varsity basketball and volleyball teams there.
Daniel Ristin, Latin teacher, previously taught Latin at Regina Dominican High School in Wilmette. Mr. Ristin has an MEd in secondary education from Loyola University Chicago and an MA in classics from the University of Cincinnati. His undergraduate degree in classics is from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Abigale Wagner, U-High college counselor, was the director of college preparation and placement at Morgan Park Academy, and she worked at The College Board prior to Morgan Park. Ms. Wagner has an MA in school counseling from Ohio State University and a BA from Miami University in Ohio.
