I'm happy to be the Lab Schools' webmaster. My chief duties in this position include:

  • assuring the accuracy, timeliness and relevance of information which appears on the Schools' website
  • maintaining the accessibility and usability of the Schools' web presence
  • training key Schools' users in our content management system
  • offering leadership in web-related areas to several of the Schools' committees.

I enjoy keeping up-to-date with developments in web-based technologies and design, and I would be happy to help with any questions you may have regarding the Schools' use of the web.

My family recently relocated to Chicago and have found ourselves feeling very much at home. We are avid fans of the arts and have been spending lots of our time in the museums, touring the city's amazing architecture, and enjoying our chance to live in the vibrant, collective artistic project that is the city of Chicago. In my downtime I am a photographer, I read voraciously, I bike and run, and I hack on whatever technology I'm currently exploring.

In addition to my love of all the wonderful things which go into web design, I am also a student of philosophy as you'll see below. Since my early undergraduate philosophy classes, I have been enamored with the American philosopher John Dewey. I consider it a real honor to be able to come to work every day to the Schools' he helped found and cared so much for.
