Volunteering at Lab
Your Time is also a Gift
There are many ways to give your time, energy, and creativity to the Schools, ranging from a few hours each year to significant, longer-term commitments. As with philanthropic giving we hope that every alumnus is able to make a donation of time. We need your support and welcome your participation in any or all of the following ways.
There are a variety of roles connected to your graduating class in which you can make a difference: The class secretary helps gather the news that makes up the Class Notes section of LabLife magazine Giving officers help us tell Lab’s story and maximize participation for each graduating class Event officers help spread enthusiasm for and attendance at Lab events across the country
You can help shape reunion in any number of ways. Build excitement for and attendance at Lab’s fall Alumni Weekend or plan your class dinner. Network with your friends to make sure we have contact with everyone in your class, or share the news about what is new at Lab and help garner philanthropic support for Lab’s programs and students through your class gift program.
May Project Sponsor
May Project is an incredible opportunity to make a difference for a senior. Lab students always need sponsors, internships, and guidance from experts as they undertake these independent final projects at Lab.
In this newly developing program with chapters in Chicago, Boston, New York City, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, you can help shape how Lab alumni connect to help one another and Lab. Want to start a regional committee in your city? Contact the Alumni Relations team to discuss the possibilities.
Alumni Association Executive Board
The Executive Board meets twice a year and works hand-in-hand with the Lab Office of Alumni Relations and Development to engage and support Lab alumni and to create the systems by which alumni can participate in life at Lab and in fulfilling Lab’s mission. Alumni may nominate themselves, or peers from any class, for consideration for these important roles.
