The Dewey Founder's Society

The Dewey Founder's Society is Lab's recognition society for leadership level donors who make annual gifts of $2,500 or more.

The Society's purpose is to educate, encourage, and thank top donors to Lab. Members enjoy an array of opportunities to learn about the Laboratory Schools, its mission and community, and to understand the importance of philanthropy to its outstanding educational program.

The Dewey Founder's Society was launched in fall of 2004 and is open to all alumni, families, and friend of the school. Dewey Founder's Society recognition and activities include:

  • Invitations to special gatherings of Dewey Founder's Society members
  • Membership in the Chicago Society, the University of Chicago's recognition society for annual leadership donors.
  • Recognition as Dewey Founder's Society members in the Laboratory Schools' Annual Report and other venues (unless donor prefers to be anonymous).
