Dear U-High Parents,

Parent conferences will take place on Thursday, November 1, 2006 in Kovler Gymnasium. All faculty members who teach exclusively or a majority of their classes in the high school will be available for five-minute conferences on individual students’ progress. The faculty members will be seated in alphabetical order around the perimeter of Upper Kovler, and parents will move from teacher to teacher. Please determine the order of your visits by the number of other parents waiting to see your child’s teachers. If any conferences indicate a need for longer conversations, please schedule follow-up meetings with the teacher(s).

Please call the High School Office (773-702-9446) any time after 8:00 am on Monday, October 22, to sign up for a conference time slot. The following time slots will be available: 11:00 to 11:50am, 12:00pm to 12:50pm, 1:00 to 2:00pm, 4:00 to 4:50pm, 5:00 to 5:50pm, 6:00 to 6:50pm, or 7:00 to 7:50pm. For the system to work, you must come on time and limit conferences to five minutes with each teacher, because other parents will be waiting to meet with the teacher.

As you plan for Conference Day, please remember that the sophomores will be taking the PLAN Test from 8:30 to 11:30am at school that day, and there will be no school for freshmen, juniors, and seniors. Also, there is no school on Friday, November 2, which is a faculty professional development day.
