Educational Program

On behalf of the over 200 faculty members at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, we would like to welcome you to explore our educational program pages and encourage you to be a frequent visitor to our site to learn more about the Lab’s curriculum, learning and counseling support, and diversity initiatives.

The Laboratory Schools are one school that spans Nursery (starting with 3-year olds) through twelfth grades, organized into five divisions so that our nearly eighteen-hundred students reap the benefit of both a continuous program and a small-school environment. The Educational Program office works in partnership with our parents, students, and faculty to create a welcoming community for all. With the involvement and support of the school community, our staff is committed to preparing students through a rigorous curriculum while offering a staple of activities that encourage student independence and exploration of co-curricular interests.

Our nationally and regionally recognized faculty will access this site to facilitate their individual and collective professional growth plans. But our focus has been and always will be on student achievement in the classroom. Laboratory Schools’ students are consistently challenged to develop the skills necessary to be inquisitive, reflective, caring, ethical, and contributing citizens to the community.

Thanks for visiting the Educational Program site. Please contact us directly if you have questions concerning our program.
