Making a Payment
There are a number of methods to make a payment.
- Mail payment using the bill provided by the Office of the Bursar
- Pay directly at Maroon Financial Credit Union (5525 S. Ellis Ave, Suite C)
- Pay at the Office of the Registrar
- Make an ACH payment
The Office of the Bursar coordinates billing for the
university, including the Laboratory Schools division. Please contact
the Office of the Bursar at 773-702-7086 for inquiries about any of the following:

Receipt of tuition paid
Education Assistance is a benefit for full-time employees of the
University of Chicago, the University of Chicago Hospitals, and Argonne
Argonne and UC employees need to fill out the form
provided by HRS and available in the Files section of this site. UCH
employees need to fill out the form provided by UCH - Benefits. A copy
of your child's birth certificate need to accompany the form. Completed
materials are to be returned to the issuing offices (UCH materials to
UCH - Benefits, UC & Argonne materials to HRS).
Lab has partnered with FACTS Management Co. to manage your non-tuition
fees, e.g., Lab After School, field trip, athletic fee, bus, meal plan
etc. These charges will be directly invoiced, managed, and collected
Should you incur a non-tuition charge from Lab, you will receive an
invoice from FACTS that gives you the option to choose the payment
method that works best for you with each payment.
Making a Payment
FACTS allows you to make payments online from your bank account, credit
card or by mail with a check or money order. There will be a
convenience fee added to your payment if paying by credit card.
How to Claim Your Online Account
PowerSchool is a distinct system used by the Schools to capture and
provide a wide array of information on our students. Academic
information, contact information, and demographic information are all
stored in PowerSchool and used by the various offices in educating our
students. It also provides parents and guardians with progress and grade
reports, teacher comments, and attendance information.

The Schools need permission from the parent or student to release
records. If the student is younger than 16 years old, a parent signature
is required along with detailed instructions as to which records are to
be sent. Those instructions should include the name and address of the
recipient. Explicit instructions to release test scores are required if
you wish to have copies sent along with copies of academic progress.
No fee is charged to current students.
The Schools only provide official copies of records from school to school. Records given to students or parents are unofficial.
Faxing, emailing, mailing, or provision in person are all acceptable methods to request transcripts.
you are a former student requiring a copy of your records, please download the Records Release Form for instructions on submitting a request. Official records are $10 per copy and payment can be made online.
**Please note, if
you are a graduate of the College or any division of the University of
Chicago, please contact the University of Chicago Office of the
Registrar at 773-702-7891 for instructions.
Depending on the time of year, it can take anywhere from three business
days to a week to fulfill a request. We send transcripts via First Class mail which can take
several days depending on the location. Rush requests can be
accommodated, however the Office of the Registrar cannot promise to
fulfill emergency requests.
Families can update or confirm their information directly in
during the Back to Lab days before school starts. After the start of school a link will be available upon logging in to PowerSchool that will allow you to "Update Your Information".
